Description

Tallants is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The walls are a mix of brick and timber framing, topped with a tiled roof. The ground floor features a central door flanked by two 19th-century shop fronts. On the first floor, there are two sash windows. The timber framing on the side walls is visible in Dover's Entry. Although the roof timbers were not examined, they are reported to be original. The building is recognized for its early features rather than its facade.
