Description

Ruby Cottage is a house from the early 19th century, with a later 19th-century addition on the left side. It is built of brick in Flemish bond and has a slate roof with brick stacks at both ends of the original section. The house is two stories high and features a four-window range. All the windows in the original part are sashes with glazing bars and moulded frames, except for the right ground floor window, which is a bow window that may have been added later and also has glazing bars. In the center, there is a six-panel door set back under a round brick arch, and there is a 20th-century round-headed open porch. The added section has a six-light fixed pane window on the ground floor and a sash window with glazing bars in a moulded frame above it.
