Description
The rear building range of No 5 Bridge Street is a structure that may have originally been a cottage and is now used as an office. It possibly dates back to the 16th century. The right side of the building is constructed from whitewashed coursed rubble, while the left side is made of brick, primarily in Flemish bond. The upper floor features a jettied design and is clad in corrugated iron. On the ground floor, there is a double fixed-light window without glazing bars, and the first floor has a 4-pane, 2-light wooden casement. To the left, there is a 19th-century plank door. The jetty is supported by projecting timber beams with moulded ends. Inside, much of the space has 19th-century paneling, although one ceiling includes a chamfered beam.
