Description
No. 48 Rodwell Road is a house in a row, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It has a rendered exterior and a slate roof, featuring a plain range with a double mansard and a central valley. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has two windows. The roof includes six-pane raking dormers, while the first floor has a 12-pane sash window on the left and a full-height canted bay window with glazing-bar sashes. The central breast-walling of the bay is panelled and has a moulded cornice. To the left of the bay, there is a six-panel part-glazed door set within fluted pilasters and deep reveals. The house has a central ridge stack and a good two-light small-pane dormer at the rear, which is likely the only original window. The interior has not been inspected.
