Description
No. 6 Chamberlain Street is a house in a row, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The building is rendered and colourwashed, featuring a plain clay tiled roof between coped gables and a brick chimney stack.
The exterior consists of two storeys with an attic and three narrow bays. It has a plinth and a dentilled cornice with a secret gutter. The plain late 19th-century sash windows have covermoulds over the sash boxes and are set in plain openings. The entrance is located in the third bay, accessed by two steps, and features a six-panel door beneath a rectangular fanlight, framed by a timber architrave and topped with a pediment hood supported by console brackets. At the centre of the roof, there is a raked dormer with a three-light steel casement window.
The interior has not been inspected.
