Description

The Gardens is a detached house, possibly originally a small farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. The house is constructed of roughcast cob walls with a thatched roof, hipped at the left end. It features one brick stack at the right end and another closer to the left end. The left section of the house may be a later addition, and a lower, single-storey extension is located at the left end. The main body of the house is one storey with attics. A roughcast porch with a gabled tiled roof and a part-glazed door has been added. The ground floor has five casement windows with glazing bars, and the attic contains three dormers with similar casement windows. A single-storey, rear lean-to has a corrugated sheet roof. Internally, one ground floor room features a large open fireplace with a timber lintel.
