Description

Colt's Close is a detached house dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. The main part of the house has walls of plastered cob and a thatched roof, with plastered stacks. It is a single storey with attics. A later addition to the rear is constructed of similar materials and also has one storey and attics, containing the main entrance. The front elevation features three casement windows on the ground floor, with central glazing bars. Three half-dormers with casement windows are set into the attic. A single-storey lean-to on the south side has brick walls and a thatched roof. A ledged door is accompanied by a lead pump. A single-storey outbuilding at the north end of the house has brick walls and a corrugated asbestos roof. A small, detached outbuilding to the south of the house, likely a former stable, is constructed of brick with a thatched roof.
