Description
Giddy Cottage is a late 18th to early 19th century cottage located on Wool Burton Lane in Giddy Green. The building features walls that are part brick and part plastered, topped with a thatched roof and a brick chimney. The main block is oriented at right angles to the road and consists of one storey with attics. There is a late attached single-storey wing at the rear, along with a modern single-storey extension on the west side that has an asbestos roof. The end elevation facing the road includes a modern thatched bay window, while the main elevation features a modern glazed porch. The ground floor has four casement windows with glazing bars, and the attic contains three half-dormers with horizontally sliding sashes that also have glazing bars. The rear wing has a pair of half-glazed doors and one casement window with glazing bars.
