Description
This is a late 18th to early 19th century cottage located on The Green in Wilcot. The ground floor is built of flint, while the upper floor and gables are brick. It has a thatched roof and is a single storey building with an attic, incorporating a central stair hall. The cottage has two bays, with a door situated in a lean-to extension on the north side. It has timber casement windows. A brick gable facing the Green has been extended and forms a chimney with projecting blue headers. Internally, there is a chamfered spine beam with ogee stops, possibly a reused element. The cottage is paired with number 53 and is believed to have been built for estate workers associated with Wilcot Manor House.
