Description

No. 53 The Green is a cottage dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It features a flint ground floor with a brick upper floor and gables, topped by a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic and consists of two bays, with a central stair hall. There is a door located in a lean-to extension on the north side. The cottage has timber windows with diamond leaded lights and a dormer on the north side. The brick gable facing the Green has been extended to form a chimney with projecting blue headers. This cottage pairs with No. 52 and is believed to have been built for estate workers at Wilcot Manor House.
