Description
This building is a store-house that was originally a malthouse, dating from the early 19th century. It features dressed stone walls set on a chert rubble base and has a hipped roof covered with Roman tiles, characterized by parallel ridges. The structure stands two storeys high and includes four windows, which are three-light wooden casements. The ground floor windows have segmental stone arch-heads, while the first-floor windows are topped with wooden lintels. The entrance is centrally located and features a former set of loft doors above it. The entrance door is made of planks with frosted glass. Inside, the roof is supported by king-post trusses with queen-struts from the 19th century, and the interior is otherwise an open shell. This building is included for its group value context.
