Description
The Old School House is a detached house that was formerly a Church of England Primary School, built in the early 19th century. It features ashlar stone walls and a slate roof with stone gable-coping. There are brick stacks on both the left and right gables. The building is 1½ storeys on the left side and one storey on the right. It has two windows on the left and three on the right, all with three-light stone mullions and separate labels above. The windows have iron casements with a centre opening light. There are half-dormers with two-light windows and pitched gables above, which include kneelers. A doorway is located at the left end of the right-hand range, featuring a 4-centred head, hollow-chamfered jambs, and a gable above. The door is made of planks and has long strap-hinges.
