Description

Detached cottage, originally built in the 18th century. It is constructed of dressed stone with a thatched roof, featuring stone gable copings. Brick stacks are present on both the left and right-hand gables. A continuous outshut runs along the rear. The cottage is two storeys high with a symmetrical front and three windows. The ground floor windows are wide, segmental bay windows from the 20th century, each with eight panes of glass and glazing bars. The first floor windows are wooden casements, with two or three lights and wooden cills. The central front door is from the 19th century or a replica, with four glass panels. A 20th-century porch has a hipped thatched canopy supported by two wooden posts and resting on a stone wall. The interior has been considerably modified in the late 20th century. The cottage groups with the Old School House immediately to its left.
