Description

The Old Malthouse is a malthouse dated 1704, with an extension from the early 19th century. It features a timber frame rendered on a red brick base and has a thatched roof, along with extensions that have red brick and plain tiled or pantiled roofs. The main structure is one storey high, with a loft and basement, and includes a plinth and a hipped roof. There is a hipped hoist housing on the right side with a boarded door. The main floor has four latticed wooden casements and a boarded door to the right, while the basement has five mullioned openings, one of which is blocked, located towards the center right. To the right, there is an outshot with English bond brickwork and a pantiled roof. A hipped dormer is present on the right front, and the rear wing has a tiled roof with a ventilator featuring a conical top. The date 1704 is painted on the left return of the building.
