Description
Longcutts Farm House is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The building features stone and brick walls, some of which are plastered, and has a thatched roof with a brick stack. It is one storey high with attics. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing from the 19th century, constructed of brick and also topped with a thatched roof. Additionally, there is a modern single-storey lean-to at the back with an asbestos roof. The main elevation includes two casement windows with cast iron diamond lights on the ground floor. The attic features two hipped half-dormers with similar casement windows. Inside, the main ground floor room has a large open fireplace with a moulded timber lintel, along with remnants of a bread oven and a circular curing chamber that was present before the fireplace.
