Detached cottage. C17. Rubble-stone walls. Thatch roof with gable ends, stone gable-copings and moulded kneelers. Brick stacks at gable-ends. 1½ storeys. 3 windows, ground floor has 4-light hollow-chamfered stone mullions, with separate returned labels. The upper windows are eyebrow dormers with C20 wood casements of 3, 2, and 3 lights. Front door at centre, plank and studded with 2 strap hinges, c.C18. Wood lintel. In the garden-wall is a reset stone with the initials and date I. and A.B.1697. (RCHM. Dorset I, p.194(7)
