Description
The Court House is a detached former farmhouse dating from the late 17th century. It features rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof with gable ends and stone gable copings. There is a brick stack on the left-hand gable and another on the ridge at the center. The building is two storeys high and has four windows. The ground floor windows have ovolo-moulded stone mullions arranged in groups of four, three, and two lights, each with separate returned labels above. The windows are fitted with 20th-century metal casements that include lead lights. On the upper floor, there are two-light wooden casements with glazing bars. The doorway, located to the left of center, has moulded stone jambs and a depressed-arch head, with a separate label above. The door itself is a studded plank door from the 18th century, complete with strap hinges.
