Detached farmhouse. Mid C17, partly rebuilt in C19, with large C19 extensions at rear. Coursed rubble-stone walls, with Ham stone quoins. Slate roof with gable-ends and stone gable-copings with cyma-moulded kneelers. C19 stone stack on right-hand gable. Two storeys and attics. 3 windows, with central 2½ storey porch. Windows have ovolo-moulded stone mullions with separate returned labels, 4-light to ground floor and 3-light over. C20 metal casements with horizontal glazing-bars. Front door entrance through porch. Entrance has moulded jambs and depressed-arch head. Separate label. Two leaf C20 panelled door. 2-light mullioned window over this and round-headed single attic window. Attached rear range, same materials with 2 C20 brick stacks on ridge. 2 storeys. 5 windows, irregular fenestration, 2-light wood casements, with horizontal glazing-bars. Cambered stone arches. Door on side hall (south side), 2-leaf plank, with a pentice slate roof over. Interior: exposed stop-chamfered ceiling-beams. Reset in the east wing are two C17 stone fireplaces with moulded jambs, depressed-arch heads. (RCHM Dorset I, p.194 (2))
