Description

Manor Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, with some rebuilding in the 19th century and large 19th-century extensions at the rear. The building features coursed rubble-stone walls and Ham stone quoins, topped with a slate roof that has gable ends and stone gable copings with cyma-moulded kneelers. There is a 19th-century stone stack on the right-hand gable. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics and has three windows, along with a central porch that is 2½ storeys tall. The windows have ovolo-moulded stone mullions with separate returned labels, featuring a 4-light window on the ground floor and a 3-light window above. The front door is accessed through the porch and has moulded jambs and a depressed-arch head, with a separate label. The door is a two-leaf 20th-century panelled design, and there is a 2-light mullioned window above it, along with a round-headed single attic window.

At the rear, there is an attached range built with the same materials, which has two 20th-century brick stacks on the ridge. This section is also two storeys high and features five windows with irregular fenestration, consisting of 2-light wood casements with horizontal glazing bars and cambered stone arches. A door on the south side leads to a side hall and is a two-leaf plank door with a pentice slate roof above. Inside, the farmhouse has exposed stop-chamfered ceiling beams, and in the east wing, there are two reset 17th-century stone fireplaces with moulded jambs and depressed-arch heads.
