Description

May Cottage is a cottage from the late 18th century, with additions and alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick, laid in stretcher bond, and features a mix of rendered and colourwashed stone and brick. The roof is thatched, hipped to the right and half-hipped to the left, with a brick stack located at the left end. There is a later extension on the left side. The cottage is single storey with an attic and has three windows in the original section, which are 20th-century two-light casements with glazing bars. The porch is continuously thatched along with the roof.
