Description
Barnaby Thatch is a cottage dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century and an extension added in the 20th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and features a gabled thatched roof, which is partly tiled on the lower slopes. It has a rectangular plan with a low pent roof at the rear and stands one and a half storeys tall. There is a chimney on the ridge to the right of the center and another flanking chimney on the left. The front of the cottage has three irregular bays and includes three dormers with scalloped bargeboards. On the first floor, there are two 19th-century casement windows with two lights, while the ground floor features three older two-light leaded casements and a 19th-century door on the right side.
