Description
Nos 3 and 4 are a pair of cottages from the mid 18th century located in Okeford Fitzpaine. The cottages are constructed of brick, featuring both partially Flemish bond and partially English garden wall bond, along with squared rubble that is partially coursed and partially brought to courses. To the left, there is a single-storey extension with a pantiled roof. The main structure has a thatched, half-hipped roof with brick chimneys at the ends of the left-hand range. The cottages are two storeys high and have a total of six windows. The ground floor openings are set under segmental arches. Most of the windows are 20th-century two-light casements with glazing bars, while the ground floor on the right features French doors. The left side has three-light casements with horizontal glazing bars on both the ground and upper floors.
