Description
Nos 685 and 686 are a pair of cottages located in Puckington Village, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The left side features coursed and squared rubble, while the right side is made of random rubble, with a brick return on the left. The cottages have thatched roofs and three brick ridge stacks. They are two storeys high with a symmetrical layout of two bays on each side. The ground floor has two and three-light casement windows, each light containing a single horizontal glazing bar, and these windows are set beneath wooden lintels. The first-floor windows are positioned directly under the eaves. There are two door openings on the right, each with plank doors, and these are sheltered by a simple porch made of brick and corrugated iron.
