The Cottage is a house from the 18th century located in Puckington Village. It is constructed of rubble with coped verges and a thatched roof, featuring two brick stacks and one ashlar stack. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with four bays. On the ground floor, there are three-light casements, with the outer pair having horizontal glazing bars and the centre featuring iron moveable lights, all supported by wooden lintels. The first floor has semi-circular head two-light casements with simple Gothick heads and "bonnet" hoods. The central door opening contains a six-panelled door, with the top four panels being glazed, and is sheltered by a thatched porch that also has a "bonnet" hood. The outer door is six-panelled with the top four panels glazed.
