Description

Nos 153 and 154 Water Lane are a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of rubble flint with brick dressings and bands, topped with an old plain tile roof. The cottages are 1½ storeys high and consist of five bays, with a door located in the center. On either side of the door, there are three-light casement windows with camber heads, while the end bays are blank except for a small pantry light at one end. Above the windows, there are small gabled dormers that sit above tall two-light casements. The roof features bargeboards and a large ridge stack positioned at the center.
