Description

This is an early 19th century or earlier cottage located in Itchen Stoke. It is constructed of squared flint with brick dressings, including diaper work, and has a thatched roof. The cottage is two storeys high and originally three bays wide, with a two-bay wing attached to the front of the right-hand bay and an outshot room extending from the centre bay. A door is situated in a porch to the right of the outshot, with a casement window to the left. The gable end of the wing has a timber, three-light oriel window with a tiled roof on each floor. There is an outshot to the right side of the wing. The roof has a ridge piece and is swept over the outshot. Chimney stacks are located over the left bay and the first bay of the wing.
