Description

Nos 155 and 156 on Water Lane are a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of rubble flint with brick dressings and bands, topped with an old plain tile roof. The cottages are 1½ storeys high and feature five bays, with a door located at the center. On either side of the door, there are three-light casement windows with camber heads, and the end bays are blank. Above the windows, there are small gabled dormers that lead to tall two-light casements. The roof is adorned with bargeboards and has a large ridge stack positioned at the center.
