Description

The Meer Monument, located 5 metres north of the nave of the Church of St Peter in West Knighton, is a late 17th-century table tomb made of limestone. It features plain stone sides and rounded panels on the south side. The monument has a cyma-moulded cornice and a flat top block. On the north end, there is a carved rosette, while the south end displays a memento mori. The tomb commemorates William Meer, who died at the age of 79.
