Description

The Star Inn is a mid-18th century building located on East Street. It has been altered in the 19th century and features two storeys and an attic. The building has three windows, with an additional bay at the western end. The roof is a tiled mansard style, topped with a large 19th-century gable. The north front has been modified to create a wide central bay with splayed ends, featuring double hung sash windows on the first floor that follow the curve of the bay. The upper section overhangs and is finished in stucco, while the lower part is made of red brick. The ground floor serves as a public house, and there is a yard entrance through the house to the right, with a sash window above it. The Star Inn is part of a group with Nos 45 to 59 (odd).
