Description

No. 51 East Street is a former shop building dating from after 1731 to the mid-19th century. It features a two-window stucco front and is two stories high with an attic. The building has a small eaves cornice, and the first-floor sash windows have been altered. There is a small early to mid-19th century shop front with panelled pilasters and a carved scroll on the fascia. A wide entrance leads to a passageway at the left-hand end, which provides access to a hairdresser's. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 45 to 59 (odd).
