Description

Ship Farmhouse is a brick farmhouse dating to the later 18th century, situated in Stanton St Gabriel. The walls are red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, topped by a mansard slate roof with gable ends. Brick stacks are located at each gable, featuring moulded cornices. The house is single-depth and two storeys high with attics. It has three windows on the front elevation; these are four-pane sashes with glazing bars, each with a gauged brick head. Dormers are incorporated into the roof, with shallow sashes, pentice slate roofs that continue the upper roof pitch, and slate sides. The central wooden front door has fielded panelling and two top lights, with a flat canopy supported by a moulded cornice on volute brackets.
