Description
Shedbush Farmhouse is a farmhouse with an attached cider house, dating to the 17th century with a 18th-century facade. The farmhouse has a rubble-stone plinth and red brick walls in English cross bond. It has a thatched roof, hipped at the left-hand end and with a half-hip at the right-hand end (east). A large rendered stack is located on the ridge, aligned with the front door, which is positioned slightly left of centre. The building follows a baffle-entry plan and is 1½ storeys high. It has four windows with wooden casements and glazing bars, along with wooden cills and concrete lintels. A large brick buttress is situated on the right-hand side. The front door is plank and studded, and it is a 20th-century replacement within an 18th-century brick porch that has a hipped thatched roof. A cider house is attached to the west end; it is rubble-built with a slate roof and brick quoins and dressings. It features segmental door heads with a wide plank door. Inside the cider house is a cider press.
