Description
Knowle Farmhouse is a mid-19th century farmhouse located in a row. It features rough-dressed stone walls and a slate roof with stone gable copings and level kneelers. There are brick stacks at each gable end. The building is two storeys high and has four windows, which are three-light wooden casements with glazing bars, dating from the 20th century. The windows have wooden cills and keyed stone lintels above them. The front door, located to the left of centre, has recessed panels and two top lights, also from the 20th century, and is sheltered by a bracketed wooden canopy. An attached barn is situated on the right side, constructed with rubble stone walls and topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. The barn has one window opening with a segmental head and a plank stable door on the rear wall.
