Description

The Cottage is a detached cottage that appears to have originally been two separate cottages. It dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. The building features plastered cob walls resting on a rubble stone base and has a hipped thatched roof with a central brick chimney stack. The cottage is two storeys high. The ground floor includes a part-glazed 20th-century door, two casement windows, and one 20th-century metal window. On the first floor, there are two horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars. There is a timber lean-to extension on the west side and another lean-to at the rear, which has a concrete tiled roof. The Cottage is likely to have been originally used as squatter's cottages on the green.
