Description
Nos 70 and 72 on Corfe Road are a pair of cottages, likely built in the late 18th century. They feature plastered cob walls and thatched roofs, with one plastered end stack. The cottages are two storeys high. No 70 has a ledged door with a small hood supported by shaped brackets. The ground floor includes one double-hung sash window with glazing bars, while the first floor has one similar window and one blocked window. At the time of the survey, a single-storey extension was under construction at the north end. No 72 has a 20th-century part-glazed door. The ground floor has one double-hung sash window with glazing bars, and the first floor has two similar windows. A single-storey and attic extension were under construction at the south end during the survey. Both cottages were undergoing repairs at that time in 1983.
