Description
Bosun's Cottage is a pair of cottages, possibly originally one house, dating from the early 18th century. The lower part of the walls is made of rubble stone, while the upper part is plastered cob. They feature thatched roofs with a brick stack in the center and are one storey with an attic. The front wall is buttressed.
Cottage No. 41 has a 20th-century part-glazed door and two ground floor casement windows with glazing bars. The attic includes one half dormer with horizontally sliding sashes that also have glazing bars. Cottage No. 43 has a stable-type door and three ground floor casement windows with glazing bars. Its attic features two half dormers with horizontally sliding sashes with glazing bars.
There is a single-storey extension on the south side made of stone, also with a thatched roof. Inside, some ceiling beams are exposed.
