Description

The Former Post Office is a house that incorporates a former shop, dating from the 18th century. It features plastered stone walls, with the north end wall exposed, and has a slate roof with brick end stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high. The entrance includes a panelled door. On the ground floor, there is one canted bay window with double-hung sashes, along with one canted shop window that has a cornice and ornamental timber columns. The first floor contains four horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars. At the south end, there are 20th-century garage doors, and at the north end, there is a brick lean-to. Additionally, there is a two-storeyed rear wing with cob walls and a tiled roof.
