Description
Church Villa is a detached house built in the early 19th century, designed in the Regency style. The building features plastered cob walls and a pyramidal hipped slate roof. It has a central range of four circular brick stacks with moulded caps and stands two storeys tall, with single-storey extensions at each end that match the main style. The front has a pair of part-glazed doors set within a panelled classical surround, topped with a flat hood supported by shaped brackets. On the ground floor, there are two casement windows with bordered panes, while the first floor has three similar windows. Inside, most of the original fittings remain intact, including vertical panelled doors, plank and muntin partitions, and early 19th-century cast iron firegrates. This house is noted for its interesting design.
