Description

West Bucknowle House is an early 19th-century detached house built in the Regency style. The walls are plastered to resemble ashlar. It has a hipped slate roof and plastered stacks featuring grouped circular shafts. The house is two storeys high with a cellar. A timber porch, partly glazed, with a moulded cornice and pediment is likely a later addition. The ground floor features two three-light double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The first floor has three double-hung sash windows, also with glazing bars. Inside, a stone staircase has plain balusters and a wreathed handrail, and there are some original fireplace surrounds.
