Description

Middle Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dated 1664, with repairs made to the east gable in 1833. It is constructed of coursed dressed stone walls with a slate roof featuring stone gable copings. The building comprises parallel ranges and has rendered stone stacks on the front gables, along with brick stacks and a stone finial on the rear gable. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three windows. These windows feature renewed 19th-century hollow-chamfered stone mullions; the ground floor windows have four lights, and those above have three. The windows have iron casements and lead lights, each with a separate label above. A central door, panelled and with two top lights dating to the 18th century, is topped by a 20th-century wood lintel.
