Description

Lower Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse built in the late 19th century. It features coursed and squared stone walls and a slate roof with deep boxed eaves. The end stacks are rendered and made of white brick. The building has two storeys and attics, with three windows on the front. The ground floor has three-light mullion windows, which include transoms, while there is a two-light window above the central door. The windows have iron casements with large diamond panes. The north gable wall also contains similar mullion windows and two single-light attic windows. The central pair of doors is half-glazed and is sheltered by a stone portico supported by Roman Doric columns, topped with a flat entablature.
