Description

NETHER COMPTON NETHER COMPTON VILLAGE ST 5917 13/65 The Green, Nos 1 and 2 GV II Pair of Estate Cottages. Dated I.R.P.G. 1893. Ashlar stone walls, with half-timbering design at first floor centre, between the projecting bays. Clay-tile roofs, with gable-ends and 3 gables to front. Stone stacks at left hand gable, ridge centre, and right hand gable. 1½ storeys. 4 windows, in projecting square bays at ends, and two canted bays at centre. Onto- moulded stone mullions, of 4 lights to outer bays and 3 lights to centre bays, iron casements with lead lights. Separate labels over. Front doors, to left and right of the central canted bays, have chamfered and moulded stone jambs with 4-centred heads. Plank doors, with glazed upper halves.
