Description
1 and 2 The Green are a pair of estate cottages dated 1893, built from ashlar stone with a half-timbering design at the first floor center, situated between the projecting bays. The cottages feature clay-tile roofs with gable ends and three gables at the front. There are stone stacks located at the left-hand gable, the ridge center, and the right-hand gable. The buildings are 1½ storeys high and have four windows in projecting square bays at the ends, along with two canted bays at the center. The windows have on-to-moulded stone mullions, with four lights in the outer bays and three lights in the center bays, and are fitted with iron casements and lead lights, each with separate labels above. The front doors, located to the left and right of the central canted bays, feature chamfered and moulded stone jambs with 4-centred heads, and consist of plank doors with glazed upper halves.
