Description

16 and 17 The Green are a pair of estate cottages built in the early 19th century. They feature squared limestone facades with brick returns and have a slate roof. Each cottage is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with doors located in the inner bays under gabled stone open porches. The first floor and one ground floor bay still have their original small paned metal windows, while there are two 20th-century ground floor windows. The outer bays are likely rebuilds of the original lean-tos. There are brick stacks situated between the two outer bays.
