Description

These are a pair of estate cottages dating from the early 19th century. They have facades built of squared limestone, with brick returns. The roofs are slate covered. Originally, each cottage had two bays, but they were later extended; the additional bays are rebuilds of original lean-tos, dating from the 20th century. Each cottage has a gabled porch containing a door in its inner bay. Number 18 retains its original small-paned windows on the upper floor, while all the windows in Number 19 were replaced in the later 20th century. Brick stacks are located between the outer two bays.
