Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a detached cottage that dates back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. The building features rubble stone walls and a thatched roof with coped gables, along with brick end stacks. It is one storey high with an attic. An 18th-century extension on the right side, which was originally an outbuilding, matches the main construction. The cottage has a gabled porch with a slate roof and a part-glazed panelled door. On the ground floor, there are two 19th-century sash windows with a central glazing bar, set under ashlar lintels. The attic includes two dormers with casement windows. In the extension, there is a ledged door with a glass panel and one casement window with lead lights on each floor. Inside, the cottage features some chamfered ceiling beams, and the door to the right ground floor room is made up of 17th-century panelling. There are also early blocked window openings in the rear wall.
