Description
The barn and stable at Manor Farm, located immediately east of Manor Farm House, is likely from the early 18th century. The barn, which faces the road, features rubble stone walls and a tiled roof with a coped gable at the east end. On the road side, there are a pair of plain barn doors that are raised above the road level. The north side, which faces the farmyard, has a large gabled cart-porch with weatherboarding on the gable, and there is a lean-to extension to the right of this. At the right end, there is a small projection with a half-hipped roof. Attached to the east end of the barn is a stable that adjoins Chapel Lane. The stable has a rear wall made of rubble stone and a front wall constructed from weatherboarded timber framing, also with a tiled roof. It is two storeys high and features stable doors, with a hay loft above that is accessed by stone steps. This building is included for its group value.
