Description

The Ornamental Spring Head, dated 1834, is located approximately 90 meters south-west of St Mary's Church in Sturminster Newton. It features a curved stone surround with a flat end that has vermiculated rustication on the right side, while the left end is broken. Water flows from a stone lion's head, and it is likely that the spring head was originally surrounded by paving.
