Description
The Old School House is a schoolmaster's house built in 1825, with a 20th-century addition on the right. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and features a stone slate roof with tiled ridge and gable ends, along with end stacks on the original range. The original building is symmetrical, consisting of five bays in a 'Tudor' style, and is two storeys high with three bays. All windows have square heads and consist of two elliptical-headed lights set in wooden surrounds with diamond-paned, leaded lights, and wooden lintels. The central door has a moulded four-centred head with continuous jambs in a square surround. The right addition has a tiled roof and features a 20th-century two-light wooden casement window with glazing bars on the upper floor.
