Description
The Old School House is a schoolmaster's house built in 1842. It features a construction of small flint pebbles with pale yellow brick dressings and a slated roof. The building has two-storey wings that form an L-shaped plan, with a single-storey flat-roofed brick addition on the inside of the 'L'.
On the north side, there is a three-window range with casement windows set under segmental arches, and blank panels to the right. The central doorway has a boarded door. The gable ends include paired semi-circular headed casement windows on the ground floor, while the single-storey section has a semi-circular headed boarded door. Each wing has an external stack featuring a single narrow semi-circular headed blank arch, a moulded brick base, and twin closely spaced square flues that unite at the top.
