Description
This outbuilding, located 5 metres south west of Stoke Mill House, was formerly known as "Moore's" Bakery and dates back to around 1850. It features rubble walls with brick quoins and a slate roof with gable ends. There is one brick stack at the gable end. The building has two 3-light wooden casements with small glazing bars and wooden lintels. A stable door, located in the gable end, has stop-chamfered jambs and head. At the rear, there is an extension made of rubble stone with a pentice slate roof, which includes a plank loft door. Moore's Bakery operated in this building from its establishment in 1850 until it relocated to Morecombelake in 1880.
