Description
No. 27 is a house in a terrace located on East Street in Corfe Castle, dating from the early 18th century. It features rubble stone walls and a stone slate roof, with one stone stack at the left end and another adjoining No. 29. The building has two storeys, with a stone plat band at the first-floor level and a buttress at the right end. The entrance consists of a part-glazed door leading to a two-storeyed porch, which has brick walls and a hipped stone slate roof. The ground floor of the porch is open and supported by circular stone columns. On the first floor of the porch, there is a cross-pattern mullioned and transomed window with lead lights. The main house has three casement windows on the ground floor, each with a central horizontal glazing bar, set under segmental arches. The first floor features two similar windows under flat arches.
